What is the PTO?
PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. We’re a non-profit that works alongside Belmont Elementary teachers and staff to support our school in ways that district funding alone can’t cover. Whether that’s classroom materials, field trips, or events that bring our community together.
If your child attends Belmont, you’re already a member. There are no sign-ups and no membership fees.
Being a member means you’re welcome at every PTO meeting and every event we host. You can take on as much or as little as you’d like, from chairing a committee to showing up for a single afternoon. We especially welcome working parents who want to help but have limited time. Every bit counts.
We don’t do door-to-door fundraising. Instead, we hold events throughout the year (restaurant nights, fun runs, community events) that let us raise money while having fun doing it.
Our Mission
The Belmont Elementary PTO is made up of every parent and guardian of a Belmont student in Kindergarten through 5th grade. There are no membership fees or sign-ups required—if your child is part of Belmont, you’re already part of the PTO! Together with our teachers and staff, we work as a team to support learning, build community, and create fun, meaningful experiences for our kids.
Our Mission
To bring families, teachers, and staff together to strengthen our school community. We support a positive learning environment by volunteering our time, funding educational opportunities, and organizing events that connect and celebrate our students and families.
